Five years ago, Zeke unleashed Titan spinal fluid in a gaseous form on Ragako village, paralyzing the villagers and turning them into Titans with his scream. Levi accuses Zeke of not truly caring for the Eldian people; Zeke says he only turned the Ragako inhabitants into Titan on Marley's orders. During their private dinner with Nicolo and the Braus family, Gabi and Falco approach Nicolo telling him to spread the message to his comrades that Marley is preparing an assault on the island. Nicolo deduces that Gabi was the one who killed Sasha, who he loved, and attempts to bludgeon her with a bottle of Marleyan wine; Falco takes the hit instead. Sasha's father refuses to kill Gabi believing her not to be guilty, as she was fighting for her life just as Sasha did. The Survey Corps arrive, and Mikasa and Armin escort Gabi away. Nicolo reveals that he strongly suspects the wine to be infused with Zeke's spinal fluid and that it was given to him directly from Yelena. The wine was passed to higher-ups in the government and accidently swallowed by Falco when he was hit. Levi receives word of Zachary's death and ponders how he completely miscalculated Eren's intentions as humanity's savior. The Jeagerists infiltrate the restaurant and hold everyone at gunpoint. Floch demands Zeke's location and reveals he knew about Zeke's plan with the spinal fluid all along. Eren finds Mikasa, Armin, and Gabi and asks to talk.
